Design and delivery of turnkey manufacturing plants for the production of fully bonded Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP) and Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP) for the oil & gas industry, hydrogen infrastructure, chemical processing, mining, geothermal energy and other demanding industrial applications. Fully bonded Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP) represent the next generation of high-pressure pipeline systems, combining high specific strength, excellent corrosion resistance, low weight and the ability to supply long continuous pipe lengths on reels. Compared with conventional carbon steel pipelines, TCP systems can significantly reduce installation time and lower total installation costs—by up to 30%, depending on the project. Each manufacturing plant is engineered to produce pipe systems tailored to the customer's specific requirements. Pipe architecture, material selection and manufacturing technology are optimized for the required pressure rating, temperature range, transported media and long-term design life. Manufacturing Capabilities The manufacturing complex can be configured to produce:
Engineering Approach The design of a TCP manufacturing plant begins not with equipment selection, but with the definition of the target pipe architecture and the required performance characteristics. The required pipe structure—including diameter, pressure class, reinforcement architecture, liner and matrix materials, service conditions and long-term performance requirements—defines the configuration of the manufacturing plant, the process architecture, the number of wrapping stations, production capacity and the level of process automation. In other words, we design the manufacturing facility around the product requirements, rather than adapting the product to the limitations of available equipment. This engineering approach enables optimization of both the technical performance of the pipe and the economic efficiency of the manufacturing facility while providing maximum flexibility for future product development and expansion of the product portfolio. Turnkey Project Scope Fartrouven R&D provides comprehensive engineering support throughout the entire project lifecycle, including:
Each project is developed individually, taking into account the customer's production programme, target markets, applicable international standards and long-term business objectives. Our Engineering Approach Fartrouven R&D designs TCP manufacturing plants on the principle that a production facility is not merely a sequence of extrusion lines and wrapping machines, but an integrated system for controlling the thermomechanical processes that govern the formation of the composite pipe structure throughout the entire manufacturing cycle. By integrating advanced process engineering, automation and manufacturing technologies, we create production facilities capable of delivering consistently high product quality, superior process stability, increased manufacturing efficiency and the flexibility required to develop next-generation thermoplastic composite pipe systems. . |
